    What an incredible day for Team Muteki at the 100% Raw Canada Powerlifting Stampede Round Up Meet on July 12th, 2025! 💪✨ Four of our dedicated members took to the platform and delivered outstanding performances under pressure, bright lights, and the watchful eyes of the judges. 

    We're thrilled to announce that everyone walked away with First Place Medals and some serious bragging rights for pushing their lifts and bodies to the max! Here’s a quick recap of our phenomenal achievements:

    As a coach, witnessing the hard work come to fruition is what it’s all about. The effort shown yesterday is the result of years of dedication, following strict programming, and being in a training environment that encourages everyone to step out of their comfort zones.

    ⚔️ BATTLE TROLL ⚔️

    Shoutout to my client Jamie, who has absolutely crushed it over the past 3 years! 💪 From embracing the full Muteki Method—balancing MMA, strength training, HIIT classes, and even morning gym sessions at his local spot—he's taken his fitness journey to the next level.

    Not only has Jamie gained incredible strength and resilience, but he’s also dialed in his nutrition, shedding 30lbs of body fat along the way! 🥗🔥 He’s a true warrior, always ready to spar with anyone, anytime. 

    Recently, Jamie faced a challenging situation on the C-Train in Calgary when a sketchy individual sat beside him trying to smoke crack. Instead of escalating things, Jamie stayed calm and assertive, defusing the situation without any violence. This just goes to show that knowing you can handle yourself brings a level of confidence that’s hard to beat. 

    Jamie exemplifies hard work and success, showing us all that consistency over time yields the best rewards. We’re grateful to have you in the Muteki Community, and we can't wait to see what you accomplish next!

    🏆 Trophy Hunting with the Calgary Swordfish 🎯

    I am beyond excited to share the incredible journey we've embarked on with my amazing team, the Calgary Swordfish! Over the past three weeks, we've been working tirelessly on building both strength and conditioning, essential components that every top athlete integrates into their training. It’s been inspiring to see how dedicated this team is to becoming more powerful and conditioned in the pool.

    Every high level athlete knows that a solid strength and conditioning program is a game-changer, and I’m grateful to guide this talented group as they strive to be the best and strongest versions of themselves. The changes I've witnessed already are nothing short of remarkable, especially from those members who have committed to attending every practice. Many have shared how much better they feel in the water, and I can assure them that this is just the beginning!

    In addition to top-notch workouts, I’m placing a strong emphasis on improving their form and technique. It's crucial that we focus on doing each movement correctly to build a solid foundation that will keep them strong and healthy for life. 

    This year, we’re on a mission: Trophy Hunting! 🏆

    ⚔️ EYE OF THE TIGER ⚔️

    In the spirit of Rocky, I want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on my incredible client, Kale. His unwavering determination and willingness to embrace new challenges at the gym have been nothing short of inspiring. 

    💪 

    We’ve been focusing on building both his static and functional strength, not just to make him stronger for sled hockey, but to enhance his performance in everyday life. Together, we've tackled leg strength, balance, and coordination, and I’m already seeing dramatic changes in such a short time!

    Kale embodies the grit and heart of the underdog, just like Rocky. He faces every challenge head-on, proving that with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible. I’m so proud of the progress he’s made and the effort he puts in every session.

    ⚔️ MMA BAG CIRCUIT ⚔️

    Hitting the heavy bag for a solid 3:00 or 5:00 minutes per round is a fantastic way to simulate the endurance needed for a fight. But let’s be real—doing the same routine day in and day out can get pretty monotonous.

    You might find yourself not pushing to full exertion or falling into a repetitive rhythm with the same techniques and combos.

    Here’s a game-changer: switch it up! One of my favorite hacks is to change the variables and focus on different techniques each session. In my MMA Bag Circuit, I set up 7 different stations, each targeting a unique technique or variable, and I hit each one for 7 x 1:00 minute rounds x 3 rounds. That’s a total of 21 minutes of focused work on various skills that could come into play during a fight or self-defense situation.

    This circuit serves as an excellent warm-up or a killer finisher to any strength and conditioning workout or full-on MMA class.

    Remember, fights—whether in the ring, cage, or on the streets—are unpredictable. You WILL get HIT 💥👊🏻, and you WILL be SURPRISED 😵‍💫. So, I challenge you to keep your training fresh and focus on your WEAKNESS rather than just your STRENGTHS. Let’s elevate our game! ⚔️💥👊🏻
